Cloak Pin

Quality pewter cloak pin in a polished finish.

Each piece of St Justin jewellery and giftware is crafted by hand and eye in Cornwall, the South West extremity of Britain. The venerable alloy of pewter is made of 92% tin, with copper and antimony to harden it and enhance casting. High quality pewter ingots are fused in a crucible and the molten metal is poured into the rubber molds created from the artist’s original sculpture. After cooling and linishing, the items are hand-polished and painted by skilled craftspeople, before clips and other findings are spot-welded into position.

Tara cloak pin – a Pewter pennanular brooch/fastener with carbon steel pin. The pin is pushed through a loose weave garment and secured by rotating the circular section over it, just as it would have been used 1000 years ago. An elegant and fashionable way to compliment a cloak or cape.
