Pewter and Rhodium plated Luckenbooth brooch engraved with a floral motif and a whisky coloured faux Cairngorm stone with a roll over C clasp. A Luckenbooth was given by a man to his sweetheart on their betrothal. It was considered a lucky charm, protecting the wearer against the evil eye. If pinned to a baby’s shawl, it would protect the child and ward off evil spirits. Stamped Dawson Bowman it is in excellent condition.
